Thanks for checking out The Nicollet Diner! As the owners, we appreciate you giving us a look and hope we get the opportunity to serve you. In 2006, we decided to make Minneapolis home, and in late 2012, we decided it was time to take the next step and build a business based in Minneapolis that could also grow to become a member of the community. Having extensive restaurant and hospitality experience, we began looking for a space to open a coffee shop or restaurant that would allow us to extend the same hospitality we offer our guests in our home, to the guests in our establishment.
Tucked quaintly between Minneapolis’ Uptown and Downtown Neighborhoods, next to the Minneapolis Convention Center, Loring Park is not only the most densely populated in the city but is also home to a diverse, tight-knit, and genuine community and we could not imagine a better home. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
Our original location at 15th & Nicollet location quickly became the front runner, and early on, breakfast, burgers, fries, and malts were the concepts we saw flourish there. It was built in 1917 and had been occupied by various shops over the years, including an auto dealership, dollar store, and grocery. In the late 90s, it was converted into a coffee shop until it became vacant in 2012. We renovated it extensively for The Nicollet Diner, and it is now home to our new restaurant concept, Mother Clucker's Pizza.
In late 2019, we began the transformation of the former Ichiban Japanese steakhouse to create our now stunning and expansive venue. On August 2nd, 2023, we moved in and now offer the most diverse dining and entertainment experiences in Minneapolis at Roxy's Cabaret, On the Rox, and our beautiful rooftop patios. Our non-stop kitchen serves up delicious food, and we have a full schedule of entertainment lined up to keep you coming back for more. We look forward to welcoming you and providing you with a memorable experience.
